5 WEEKS OLD ON EASTER SUNDAY!

EASTER WEEKEND, WE MET OUR FAMILIES!
We had our first haircuts, and our first baths...all in preparation for meeting our new families!
It was an exciting weekend and turned out great for all of us:)
I really like this warm water, it's so relaxing.

Darma chose me and named me Danny. I'm going to live with her and my big sister, Katy, on Whidbey Island. I am so lucky!

Kenzie was told she could pick out a puppy and she picked me!!! Yay!!
I have a name now too...it's SALLY:) I'm sure we will have so much fun as we grow up together.

Melissa came to visit us next and fell in love with me!!!!!!!
My name is Rinin (otherwise known as Rin!) I'm going to see her often for the next 4 weeks because she lives in Ellensburg. She's a painter, how cool is that?

The cute little guy behind Sally doesn't have a name yet because he is a surprise present for a wonderful lady named Ann, in Auburn. He feels pretty special!

We all will go to our new homes on Mother's Day Weekend:)
In the meantime, Marcia and Maynard will play with us and feed us. We'll get to go out in the backyard and explore on sunny, warm days, and just grow cuter and cuter by the minute.
It was a great weekend!

We have a really cute video that I am trying to upload. You can see it, and many more pictures on our Facebook page (Dala Farm Poodles), so please check it out!

WOW! WE ARE 3 WEEKS OLD !!!

WE ARE GROWING SO FAST!
WE ARE TESTING OUR WALKING SKILLS (AND FALLING OVER SKILLS:)
We make lots of noises (even a few barks) and are beginning to play with each other.
Our eyes and ears are both open now, but things are still a bit blurry.
Here are the pictures of our most recent photo shoot! We hope you like them.

Marcia is trying to make us wake up:)

OK, it worked! Hi everybody!

"Hey you guys...I can sit up!!"
said the black male.

Pig pile!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over I go!!

In case you were wondering, I am the girl!!

Oh, my head is so heavy. I'm the biggest and it's such hard work, this walking around.

Black puppies are really hard to photograph, but this one's not bad. I just don't remember whether it's the boy or the girl! Sorry:)

Marcia's knee is like a mountain!

This is a really good picture of one of the black puppies!

"Psss, What do you think we should do now?"

These pictures have been sort of fun!

I gotta go find Mom. She must be around here somewhere!

That's all for today! We hope you enjoyed our new pictures. We'll see you again next weekend!
Y'all come back now, ya hear?

2 WEEKS OLD!

WE ARE GROWING LIKE WEEDS!!

It's been 2 weeks and we have all doubled our birth weights:)
We are now officially "scooters"!
The other big news is we are opening our eyes!

Our latest pictures were taken this morning.

Wow,this light is bright!! I am the biggest puppy now, by 1/10 of an ounce:)

Mommy got a haircut & boy, she sure smells good now!
We're hungry again.

I'm almost as big as my brother!!

This fuzzy blanket is awesome for a little rest. Scooting is such hard work. I sure would like to start walking.

Apricot and black male (I think).

This is pretty good picture of our little family!
It's our first time out of the playpen except to get on the scale.

See how much bigger I am than my little brother?
He's cool though, I still like him.

The male (on left) is just a tiny bit smaller than his sister.

You've no idea how hard it was for Marcia and Maynard to get us all lined up like this and our sister still blew it!!

THANKS FOR VISITING WITH US TODAY!

As you can see, we are a really healthy, content little little family.
Come back soon and watch us as we grow. The changes will be coming rapidly now as we gain coordination and strength. Pretty soon we'll be playing in the backyard!

As ever, your poodle connection in Ellensburg, Washington,

MORE PICTURES

Here is Kaeira and more baby pictures!

It was a really long night and she is exhausted. But, she is a wonderful mother and is very diligent about taking care of her babies. For the next few weeks, their home base is the playpen in the living room by the window. That way she still feels  part of the action and the puppies get lots of attention.

Speaking of puppies...here are a couple of group shots less than 12 hours old.

We realize it looks like all we do is sleep! That's because it is all we do (when we're not nursing...)

We'll be back soon and show you how cute we look with our new and improved short tails:)

PUPPY PICTURES

FIRST DAY PICTURES!

I know, I'm a CUTE guy, and I am the prettiest  dark red color!!!!

I'm pretty darn adorable too! I am the smallest of the bunch, oh, and I too am a boy:)

Yay!!  I am a boy too! I am such a pretty apricot. I am the big guy of the group.

I am the only girl!! Pretty cute, aren't I?

Our MOM is the best! She keeps us clean, and so full sometimes we feel like we'll simply POP!!
But instead, we just go to sleep:)
Marcia & Maynard already chopped off our dew claws and shortened our tails. It hurt for a minute, but Mommy made it okay pretty quickly.
They are keeping a weight chart on us to make sure that we are growing just right...and  we are.

Now that we have figured out the computer problem, we will be posting updates and pictures often!
Remember...we are your Poodle Connection in Ellensburg Washington, right smack dab in the middle of the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

THE PUPPIES ARE HERE, THE PUPPIES ARE HERE!!

Puppies, Puppies, Everywhere!

Friday night, according to the book, Kaeira was ready to have puppies. Unfortunately, Kaeira hadn't read the book. So all of our anticipation was for naught:)

Saturday...read Friday's and repeat!
And this after we took her with us to the Backcountry Horsemen Exhibition at the Ellensburg Fairgrounds! (We thought a little exercise just might be the ticket!!)

Sunday, finally, Kaeira READ THE BOOK!!!

She started stage one labor at 11:00 last night. It was time to call for a substitute teacher for Monday. Stage two finally began about 2:30 A. M.
(on our bed...)
Number 1 puppy arrived head first at 3:00:) She is black and beautiful!
Number 2 puppy followed soon after at 3:30. He is a beautiful dark red!
Number 3 puppy took his sweet time at didn't arrive until 5:30! He is coal black and super cute!
And last, but certainly, not least...
Number 4 puppy made his appearance at 6:30! He is apricot.
WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a long, anxious, weekend, but one heck of a way to start the week!!!!!!!!

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY EVERYONE!
(It will certainly be easy to remember their birthdays.)

WE ARE IN COUNTDOWN MODE AT DALA FARM!

KAEIRA IS DUE THIS WEEK!

She fooled us this time and came in a month early. I predict 4 puppies. She is really beginning to "waddle" and needs help jumping up on the couch:)

Eastern Washington has finally come out of the deep freeze and it's in the 50's , thawing and feels like spring.

It's the perfect time for having little ones. There are babies all over the Ellensburg Valley. So fun to go for a drive just to see them all!

I took these pictures of Kaeia last weekend when I clipped her.

I'm having trouble uploading the rest of my pictures. Yay, internet:) I will add them as soon as the problem is fixed.
I'm busy making lots of lesson plans for this week so I will be sure and be here for the delivery!

FALL GREETINGS FROM ELLENSBURG, WA
THE HOME OF DALA FARM POODLES!

We haven't written in a while, so just to give you an update on Dala Farm activities...the poodles are all healthy and happy, enjoying the beautiful fall weather we're having in Eastern Washington!

Kaeira usually comes into heat like clockwork at 6 months so I expect her in heat in February. She will be bred at that time. The puppies should be born in April:)

The smallest litter Kaeira has had was 3 puppies. She usually has 4. We never have any idea what the combination of colors (black, apricot, and red) or the sexes will be. It is always a pleasant surprise.

*Here's an interesting side bar... we are picking up our first standard female puppy in 10 days:)
I am super excited! We are going to expand our horizons and raise little and BIG!!!

Here are some of our latest pictures:

 Tucker napping in the flowers:)

Kaeira, Tucker, and Sadie posing!

Just a lazy summer day on the deck.

Maynard with his hands full at the Farmer's Market in Ellensburg.

This is Kiwi, the tiny little red female from the last litter. She is finally 3.5 pounds!

Granddaughter Jessa and 9 year old Zoe rafting the Yakima River. Zoe is our agility girl, she is fearless!

Please feel free to email or call us either with questions about upcoming litters or to update us on how our kids are doing as they grow up! We love to hear your stories!

WE'RE BACK!!

We've been remiss in our posts due to Maynard's open heart surgery. We apologize for our lack of correspondence and pictures of Kaeira and Tucker's last litter. All three puppies have wonderful homes and we couldn't be happier for both our babies and their new families.

The smallest puppy, a female, lives in Yakima with Jeannie and Chuck:)  Her name is Annie.

The "just a tiny bit bigger" female now lives with Darma on Whidbey Island:) Her name is Katy.

The biggest puppy,  and the only male, now lives on Vashon Island with Kris and family:) His name is Max.

I

It's now almost August and it seems so quiet around here.
We want Kaeira to skip this heat, so Tucker has gone to play with his cousins at our daughter's house in Yakima for a few weeks. We will be breeding her once again in February  for a spring litter that will be ready to leave us in June of 2014.

We have begun our wait list for the next litter and already have Kate and Keith in the number one spot:)  If you are interested in an adorable addition to your family next summer, feel free to contact us!

At the end of the day, we are simply exhausted, and need to relax on the recliner:)
